  • Laryngitis is great.  You can't talk.  Well you can, but it hurts to talk.  Same thing with swallowing, which makes eating and drinking quite a task.  This health encyclopedia thing says, "Laryngitis is an inflammation of the larynx, or voice box, that often affects your voice.  The main symptom of laryngitis is a hoarse voice.  Your voice may sound raspy, deeper than normal, or break occasionally.  Sometimes, you may only be able to whisper or you may completely lose your voice.  Other symptoms may include a dry throat, coughing, and difficulty swallowing.  You may also have a sore throat, but it usually resolves before the voice is affected."  Yah, I have all that.  I'm blessed.
