  • Today is the planned "A Day Without An Immigrant" boycott. While I agree with the stand, I also am a civil servant, in service to the students of California. I was quite torn, and came to the following conclusion - as long as there are students in California that are in school, I must be there to serve. Therefore, I cannot fully participate in the boycott by not attending work. I choose not to purchase anything and I will also wear a white shirt and white armband, to show my solidarity with the boycott. Best of luck to everyone. I am confident that it will be very effective.
