• Sometimes you get exactly what you ask for. I asked for something that I could write about and now I definitely have something to do just that with.

  
  

  One of the Zeta Chapter brothers presented on pre-Hispanic Philippines at a general CSUS Samahang Pilipino general meeting. Of course the Epsilon chapter brothers came out to support as well. It's always great to collaborate, and this event went very well.

  
  

  However, in the middle of the event, at 7:31 PM, I received a call. It was Manong Hipolito, the patriarch of the family that was taking care of my lola. He informed me that my lola is not doing very well, and that she wants to see me. I was able to speak to her on the phone as well, and she asked me to come and bring her back to California.

  
  

  My dilemma is that I promised myself long ago that I would do everything within my power to ensure that my lola's wishes were fulfilled and that she would be comfortable. However, as it is, I have no vacation time left, and I've exhausted a large portion of my savings to initiate the first trip. Although my resources may be depleted, I am confident in being able to make this happen. Through God all things are possible.

  
  

  Sometimes, when you have a goal, and you don't know exactly how to achieve it, you just have to be supremely confident that it will happen. You have to be supremely confident that you have the ability, charm, and persona to attract the resources that you need to accomplish your goal. So it's okay when you approach a goal without knowing each step needed to get there. Having the goal is already the first step. Everything else thereafter will fall into place from the momentum of each subsequent step.
